Our mission is to assist unhoused individuals in regaining stablilty and building a sustainable path forward by demonstrating love, care, compassion, and providing available resources
Sinai Rhames, the founder, noticed the plight of unhoused individuals sleeping on the sidewalks, benches, and in the bushes during her daily wellness routine of walking around the park. Despite the many people enjoying the park, laughing, walking their dogs, and sipping coffee, she was struck by the apparent lack of compassion and empathy for the less fortunate. Inspired to make a difference, she launched Project C.A.R.E. (Comfort, Aid, Resources, and Encouragement) that September day in 2024.
Drawing on her gift of sewing, she began making blankets to distribute. After sharing the plan with family and friends, an outpouring of support quickly followed, with donations of socks, toiletries, snacks, sleeping bags, gloves, masks, drinks, and offers of resources and direct service. This hands-on project deepened the founder's awareness of the unhoused issue in her community, motivating her to connect with other compassionate individuals and agencies to expand the initiative's impact.
